Full Stack Software Engineer, Developer Productivity; Trello at Atlassian

Working at Atlassian

Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Here at Trello, we celebrate the many ways we work. We expect our developers to contribute more than just code. You’ll be involved in defining how things work, what they do, and why we do that instead of something else. We also expect you to share your knowledge and expertise with everyone else. In other words, we’re all whole humans and expect the same from you. If that interests you, read on to learn more about the role.
The Dev Lifecycle Team’s mission is to make it easier and safer for our engineers to make changes to Trello by tightening loops between writing code and seeing its impact on users and removing toil in our development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Design processes and tools to make it easier and safer for engineers to make changes to the Trello codebase.
    • Build client and server code that is fast, testable, and high quality.
    • We use the following technologies on the back-end team at Trello: JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, Mongo, Redis. Experience in these particular technologies isn’t a requirement for applying, but you’ll be using them daily.

More About You:

    • Experience building and improving developer build tools for teams.
    • You have experience using and modifying development environments using Docker and Bitbucket Pipelines
    • Experience coaching and mentoring teammates.
    • You have experience improving large scale web applications.
    • You prefer to focus on server work with occasional full-stack tasks.
    • You have a passion for making features that are quick, useful, and easy to use.
    • You strive to master any technology, language, or development environment that is needed or useful.
    • You’re a fast learner, can contribute from day one, and can bring good opinions to the table.
    • You have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and communicate about what you're doing with your coworkers.

Our perks & benefits
